Ablenet News: Success at Brosville Elementary School

In our four-year study of Equals Mathematics, students saw an average of 161% gains in math skills. These gains in math skills are amazing. Earlier this month, first-year Equals Mathematics teacher Shauna from Brosville Elementary School reached out to us with her results, and they are incredible as well! Read below what Shauna has to say about Equals Mathematics and the impact it has had in just one year on her students at Brosville Elementary School.

"This was my first year teaching the Equals Mathematics program and I was thrilled with my students’ progress. Students using Equals Mathematics experienced 67% to 167% increases in their math scores and the Equals Mathematics program met the needs of all of my students. I enjoyed using the many manipulatives and materials included in the curriculum kit. All of my students were able to demonstrate their knowledge of the concepts that I taught because Equals Mathematics offers so many options for them to respond. The Action Dictionary has also been an extremely helpful resource. If I had to choose one aspect of the program that I most enjoyed, it would be the real life problem solving. In addition, my paraprofessional has enjoyed being able to teach lessons with confidence and enthusiasm. We both look forward to using this program for many years to come to reach students of all abilities."
