Learning Management System Accessibility
The quick pivot to increased remote instruction and learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for learning management systems (LMS) like Google Classroom to be accessible to diverse learners, including those that use assistive technology. The accessibility of the LMS framework itself is, however, only part of this equation. This webinar will discuss the components that school divisions can assemble to create a truly accessible online learning management system:
- A perceivable, operational, understandable, and robust LMS interface.
- Accessible content created by teachers.
- Students who understand the features of their assistive technology and how to strategically use it.
