Formative Assessment

Formative assessment is a crucial instructional tool that helps educators and students understand the student’s level of mastery of essential content.  Whether educators are providing distance or virtual learning, we need to ensure we are providing meaningful instruction.  Virtual or distance formative assessment may seem challenging but it is possible, and educators still need to check for understanding and provide descriptive feedback.  In this webinar, the components of effective formative assessment and examples of what it looks like in the classroom whether face-to-face or virtual will be discussed.
